Tristan Playtest Blog
What I noticed most in the playtests, as well as when I played through the level, is that people like the difference in elevation what we made, but they want more of it. Instead of just having basically a large hill for the whole level, maybe we could have some flatter parts, or sections that go down more. We were planning on creating a cave to put into the game, so I think that will help a little bit, but I think adding more difference in elevation would be a good idea.
Another thing I noticed from the playtest is that people weren't really sure where to go or what to do. I agree that it is kind of confusing right now when it's just the whitebox, but when we add more art assets and get some of the code in there, I think it will make more sense for players. The "towers", as most people were calling them, are representative of trees that we're going to have. We didn't add all the trees just yet, because it was just supposed to be a whitebox and we didn't think we really needed them. But the trees are going to be a guide for the player to show them which way they should go and be able to find the things they need. I realize that it wasn't that great in the whitebox.

A walking-sim horror game. Definitely not a fishing game.
